This original, beautiful old Marriage Certificate is badly deteriorated. It has been scanned into a computer and the scan restored to near original condition to preserve it for posterity.

THIS CERTIFIES THAT: William T Morgan of Lemington, Utah and Lovina Ross of Leamington, Utah were by me united in HOLY MATRIMONY according to the ordinance of GOD and the LAWS of the land at Leamington on the 16 day of february, A. D. 1880.

It is signed by Silas Smith, who was Lovina Ross's grandfather, and who performed the ceremony. It was witnessed by William's younger brother James John Morgan and Amberzine Guston.

The open book in the center of this marriage license has the following written on it. Left Side (as you face it) "Age W J Morgan 23 years When Married." On the Right side it says "Age LoVina Ross 17 Years When Married."
